The plant is self-pollinating vine that can spread very rapidly and may need some training. Purple Possum is a strong vigorous grower, especially during summer months and needs support such as a trellis or stake etc. Grown in Southern States Zone 9-11 - Most all edible plants grow well in Full Sun, a little shade won’t hurt. For starter plants I recommend growing in a 4 inch to 1 gallon pot to allow your plants to get a little bigger then then re-pot or plant. Passion Fruit Plants can be planted in most healthy soils with normal pH range 6.0-8. I recommend growing in an organic potting soil with the fertilizer and beneficials already mix in. Keep your soil moist and when it is about dried out water again. - Fast Growing Vine - I recommend growing your plants in a 4 inch container with good Organic Potting Soil like Fox Farm Happy Frog where the fertilizer and soil beneficials are already mixed in. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01AR6VNZC | | Best Sellers Rank | #307,547 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #1,350 in Fruit Plants & Seeds | | Brand Name | Hello Organics | | Color | Purple | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars (681) | | Expected Blooming Period | Summer | | Expected Plant Height | 7 inches | | Expected Planting Period | Summer | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Outdoor | | Material Features | Organic | | Moisture Needs | Moderate Watering | | Number of Pieces | 4 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Low Maintenance | | Plant or Animal Product Type | passion fruit | | Product Care Instructions | Water | | Sunlight Exposure | Full Sun | | USDA Hardiness Zone | 9 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Hello Organics - **Color:** Purple - **Expected Blooming Period:** Summer - **Expected Planting Period:** Summer - **Indoor/Outdoor Usage:** Outdoor - **Material Feature:** Organic - **Product Care Instructions:** Water - **Special Feature:** Low Maintenance - **Sunlight Exposure:** Full Sun - **Unit Count:** 1 Count ## Images ![Passion Fruit Possum Purple Price Includes Four (4) Plants - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71kDlg4aEGL.jpg) ![Passion Fruit Possum Purple Price Includes Four (4) Plants - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41EE07XHRZL.jpg) ![Passion Fruit Possum Purple Price Includes Four (4) Plants - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51fMF0iCwGL.jpg) ![Passion Fruit Possum Purple Price Includes Four (4) Plants - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51j-6gb4xOL.jpg) ![Passion Fruit Possum Purple Price Includes Four (4) Plants - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61AXo6YgtxL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are this passion fruit from cuttings or seeds?** A: Cuttings **Q: I live in alameda, ca, zone 10. is it now the good time to grow these passion fruit plants ?** A: I recommend growing in pots first then plant.
