Her violin teacher suggested these books and I think they are fantastic. My daughter is 8 and she loves them. The CD really helps her improve her playing and makes playing more fun.As there are some comments here about the CD missing, I would like to mention that when I ordered the book it arrived without the CD. As the item description on Amazon mentions the CD, I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement book with CD which arrived within 24 hours. Now I just need to return the book that has no CD. This is excellent customer service, all free including the phone call and all postage. The pieces are varied in terms of style and technical difficulty. Some of the songs are quite upbeat, and are tunes you can dance along with. It definitely made violin learning much more intersting for her. The CD is very useful for helping a learner to start off, and for a learner to check that their timing and intonation are correct.
