Paid again to have internal parts examined, new SIM card. After a few weeks, still crappy searching for service, no service. So I had old battery put back in and guess what??? I found watching a couple of web videos on how to do it helpful. Apple had put an unnecessary amount of glue tape in the phone so it took me a long time almost 40 minutes to gently pry the battery out. Otherwise the installation went very smoothly. Be careful with screws since they are not all the same length, you will want to take out and put in the screws in correct order. It is a little bit like repairing a watch, delicate work.
