I was looking for options, as didn't want to spoil the look of the doors with handles or knobs, although I did find some retro looking ones....then I found these catches. They are perfect! easy to fit, work very well at push to open, and then holding the doors shut when I ram the cupboards full with the family board games! They feel very robust and I couldn't be happier. I have no idea why Swoon, the manufacturer of this table didn't use catches like these in the first place. The catches were a little bigger than I expected, however they don't get in the way, and thankfully they came in black (as well as white) so they don't notice too much when the doors are open. Excellent value for money, and would buy this brand again if I needed more.

**Q: This touch latch looks a little big, does it require a lot of effort to push it poen or close?**
A: This magnetic touch latch is heavy duty but not very big. It build with strong spring and magnet, it doesn’t need a lot of force for you to press it. But there are some tips for you to open or close it.  Please press hard to the end at one time to close it. You can look at the video above to see more detail.

**Q: Would this work for a full size door? Like one you would use to get into another room**
A: we have used four of these on full size doors into closets and they all work well.

**Q: Will these latches keep kitchen cabinet doors closed during an earthquake?**
A: No, they are not a positive latch - they are a tension latch. Anything inside the cabinet could bang the door open during an earthquake.

**Q: Does this require a gap between the back of the door and the face of the cabinet to operate the pushing to open?**
A: Yes, but not much more (if any) than a bumper pad might require. It is about the same as a hidden hinge creates - roughly 1/16. These are easily adjustable with just a small turn of the tip of the magnetic rod which pops out to open the door - so it might take a few tries to get it adjusted just right to minimize the gap required.

Easy to fit push catches with a smooth and quiet opening action. Strong magnets that work on full height hollow core doors. Much better than some cheap metal sprung catches that are normally used by builders.
