I did not want to buy an expensive rangefinder that would die in a few years so I bought the Laser Link. With the pinseeker you pressed the button and released it so that is how I used the Laser Link. However, that only seems to work when the flag is less than 200 yards away. After rereading the instructions I tried scanning with the button depressed and have had much more success. It still is slow with ranges greater than 200 yards, but it works. And I am referring to ranging the flag when there is no wind. The pinseeker is faster at providing a range, but it is also bulkier. I like it that I can carry the Laser Link on my belt on my backside. It is out of the way and easy to get. I wanted a small one that would work without issues. This one does. Once I read the instructions as to actually how to work the thing, it worked perfectly without having to mess around with it.
