They all suck out of the box. For me, both levels were canted to one side, and rotating the cylinder in the housing changed the degree to which they were off. With a little bit of work, though, you can get these to work fairly well. All it requires is a fine tooth file, a tube of super glue, and a level that you already trust. First, dab a drop of glue on each side of the underneath of the cylinder to hold it in place on the base. Once the glue has dried, place the mini level on top of your good level ( on a level surface, of course) and observe to which side the mini level is off. You want to grind off a little bit of the base in favor of the edge that the bubble leans towards. Run the base of the level across the file keeping it flat while applying constant, gentle pressure in favor of the side the bubble was favoring. You want to be careful not to round the base of the mini level while doing this. If you take your time in just a few minutes you will have mini levels at work well enough for their purpose. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Multi purpose, inexpensive, can be made as accurate as you want *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2018* These levels can be used for virtually anything that you need a quick portable level for. Some people complain about the levels not being equal.These are very inexpensive levels. If they are not perfectly matched, place on a file and adjust until matched.As far as accuracy, out of the box, ok for general use. A change of 1/16" over 2 feet is clearly noticable if you observe closely.If you want to have these inexpensive levels act in a similar way as my machinists level that can measure 1/10000 of an inch, forget it. However.... Take a 3 foot Carpenters level and find a truly flat surface. Lay a piece of 100 grit wet/dry sandpaper down with a few drops of water on it. Place the level on it at work it in a figure 8 pattern while pressing on the high side. When level is "level", change paper to 400 grit. When your satisfied, congratulations. You have a very accurate level with a magnetic base that cost you a fraction of what you could spend.Don't forget that ultimately the accuracy depends on your ability to center the bubble. Well because they are cheap chinese plastic. Out of the box, side-by-side, one might have a centered bubble, and the other might be halfway across the center boundary line!So then why 4 stars vs less...Well, I discovered that they can be rotated within their magnet base. So I put them side by side, rotated one until its bubble was identically positioned to the other's. That adjustment makes them very accurate and they were repeatable with high confidence -- that adjust-ability makes them very accurate once tuned.
