I have a genetic condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. The brace helps hold my shoulder in place and reduces pain when I am performing repetitive motions with this arm. It can be a little bit scratchy to the skin if worn alone; I recommend wearing a compression arm sleeve underneath it. It is adjustable for the wearer's specific needs. I need to keep my left arm always a little bent at the elbow to avoid nerve compression in this arm. I was able to adjust the brace to achieve this position in order to have support and prevent me from fully extending the arm out straight. I received this item very promptly and in excellent condition.
