Rodent teeth are capable of amazing feats! When I was trying to be a hamster parent, I was advised by someone more experienced NOT to use wire mesh for the enclosure, because given enough time they would chew through. Plexiglass was recommended & it did not get chewed. (The edges were not accessible to hamster - only the flat surfaces. I think the wire would be fine as a top cover. This is a pretty sturdy mesh. **Q: Will this stick to magnet ?** A: No. I just checked and a magnet will not stick to it. **Q: Can we use this in aquarium without hurting fish?** A: Depending on how how you intend to use it? I installed a piece in my small aquarium to block the baby fish from being siphoned into the filter intake. The screen is on the inside of the filter where the fish do not come in contact with the screen. Seems to work fine. The screen has discolored to brown from being in the tank water. The fish are doing well. It has been about a month. **Q: Can I use it as the airflow?** A: Of course, the mesh is quite good. Over time, it will get clogged with lint. You can use something to clean it, would be fine. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy but strands can unravel. *by on Reviewed in the United States 7 June 2026* There are different sizes of screens sold on this webpage. I got the 11x14.2" dual pack screen. The did not come folded. On some of the larger screens, the screens come folded.Just as others have shown in photos, the top row wire had broken welds and was unraveling. If you do a lot of bending of the screens, more strands with come loose.I found it difficult to do a sharp bend of the screen. So, my corners are fairly rounded.I used this to fix holes in my crawl space screen where the rats were getting in. I kind just forced it in place and then screwed it down with sheet metal screws. It works but isn't pretty. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great screen! Worked perfect! *by on Reviewed in the United States 28 July 2026* This worked absolutely perfect for my project!!! I used it to go around a sump pump to keep trash out. Worked great! (watch the edges...they are very sharp) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for My Needs *by on Reviewed in the United States 8 September 2026* Perfect grid size of wiring and material composition for a small project involving an outdoor grate. Very good quality and arrived in timely manner. ## Frequently Bought Together - Valchoose Upgraded 2Pack Mesh Screen Crimped 304, 5 Mesh 11 X 14.2 inch, Not Easy Falling Off Metal Mesh Woven, Pretty Sturdy Wire Mesh Not Rusty, Stainless Steel Mesh Flexible, Heat Resisting - 3PACK 20 Steel Mesh Screen 11”X11”(280mmX280mm), Woven Wire 304 - Never Rust 1mm Hole Keep Rodent Out or Make Any Shapes by Valchoose - Valchoose 304 Stainless Steel Mesh Screen11"X24"(280X610mm), 8Mesh Non-rusting, 2.55mm Hole Metal Mesh Sheet Sturdy and Easy to Work, Non-corrosive Mesh Screen for Vent, Cage, Garden, Window 1 Roll --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/703481212-valchoose-upgraded-2pack-mesh-screen-crimped-304-5-mesh-11](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/703481212-valchoose-upgraded-2pack-mesh-screen-crimped-304-5-mesh-11) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
