It's my FAVORITE bread. It's always CONSISTENT.However, with this latest loaf -- did they change the recipe or something? The color was off. Not white, more on the tan side. The texture is not soft -- lots of small holes -- firm. Taste is sour and I can't exactly pinpoint it but it's just a funky aftertaste.I don't know WHAT happened whether this was a fluke or if this really is a new formulation. The problem is this bread, unlike the regular one I ordered, just tastes lackluster, and it's very crumbly. I've looked all over it for an expiration date but have not found one. When I bought this in the past, it came and advertised and it tasted fresh. This is not a reflection of the actual bread in the advertisement, but rather of it's substitution, which I couldn't find on whole foods to review.
