If you like Edward Lear, you'll love this!

*by S***X on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 October 2014*

Wonderful nonsense verse, accompanied by the author's artwork.Emblus Fingby is befriended by an osbick bird, which shares his life:"The years passed by in pressing weedsAnd making bell-pulls out of beads."The faithful creature even roosts on its deceased owner's gravestone...for a bit:"But after several months, one dayIt changed its mind and flew away."Loved it!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

*by リ***ン on Reviewed in Japan on 28 February 2014*

    I am a Gorey Girl

*by T***E on Reviewed in the United States on 6 January 2013*

I have collected Edward Gorey's books for a few years. They are darkly humorous with black ink drawn illustrations that add to their macabre charm. The man is genius (okay, was a genius ~ he is dead)I would not hesitate to buy any book he has (had) written. Go for the hardvover editions ~ deals to be had if you carefully buy used books. Amazon is a wonderful resource for Gorey treasures.
