I placed them under every sink, toilet, laundry room, fridge with water line, anything that could leak. My wife accidentally spilled water while cleaning under one of the bathrooms sink and the alarm went off immediately. On the device, on the gateway and on the phone app. The set up if pretty easy with easy to follow instructions and adding other sensors is also pretty simple. Unfortunately I didn't get any discounts from my home owners insurance but I don't mind, I like the peace of mind that this devices provide.
