I think they’re designed for 1 lesson a week. If you didn’t do the K level book, this is a great intro. If you did, this builds on what was previously taught very nicely. Each lesson has: Two pages of reading that can be parent or student done, depending on their reading level and confidence. A visual literacy page. Two pages of vocabulary practice. And then a hands-on activity. The activities are quick and easy to put together and do with the kiddo, but I really recommend letting them do most of it to exercise fine motor scissor skills. Answers are provided in the back. (Sorry for the fuzzy photo but I wanted to show two different full lessons.) If your child’s social studies is all about community helpers and holidays, I highly recommend these geography books to start building those skills. This is a great book for homeschooling or supplementing public school. With 16 quick lessons, it would be perfect for summer school work too!
