Great Pair of Shorts
*** NOT A PAID REVIEW ***Bottom Line: Great pair of shorts. This was my first pair of Clinch Gear shorts. I bought them for working out and for doing OCRs back on July 2016. Needless to say, they were worth gambling on because I ended up buying another pair from them (although slightly different style). I gave them a 4/5 because I couldn’t overlook the cons listed below. However, I definitely recommend these shorts for anyone looking for something similar.Cons:- expensive ($55)- velcro not great for dryers- material only stretches in a few areas- mainly for working out (no pockets)Pros:- durable stitching and material- lightweight- comfortable- stretchy material along seems and crotch- extremely secure during workouts

I really like the look of these
I really like the look of these! The design is awesome but after the first few uses I noticed the material along the side were it says “clinch gear” with logo has started to pil and come apart. Im disaponted because i purchases two pair for $60 a piece. I have followed all washing instructions and only wear each pair once a week.

FINALLY! MMA shorts built to take a literal beating, love the double velcro seal
Sorry, fellow training partners; I don't mean to be constantly pulling my pants up. Look, I love my Soffe shorts...and wore them to death. Slowly but surely, however, velcro top began to eat velcro bottom. Shorts started to bunch up. Wearing a jock strap underneath...not so awesome. Tight on the crotch. To replace, I did mounds of research, purchased some hit/miss pairs over the years (the Wand Fight Team ones are serviceable but pricey, for example), but never found a pair I would want to wear for hours on end.Took two tries, but Clinch Gear Pro Series shorts finally fit the bill. They tend to run 1-1.25 inches big - which is good, noting jock strap likelihood underneath - and feel top quality. I dig the highest end stitching, also double velcro seal. Meaning, typically over/under velco, but then an additional overhead strap to distribute tension. This frees the velcro from endless friction and short life, as the pressure is evenly dispersed across the waist.I'll be frank: you get what you pay for, and these are not cheap. But neither are the Venum or equivalent brand name offerings...with the latter lower quality. Also, Clinch Gear is not flashy. This may bother some, but not me when I'm looking to dress down from my standby Muay Thai shorts. All in all, solid shorts for striking, rolling, ab work, and all around fitness. They fit nicely over jock straps and/or compression shorts, and don't inhibit movement. Finally, they both breathe and wash well, and look to be around for the long haul.

Fabric is bad
This fabric is bad for shorts. It has a finish that grabs lint and is never clean compared to other shorts. I had to toss mine after one week. Too much of a hassle to use a lint remover on them all the time. No other shorts of mine require that level of care. Note to designer: get a new fabric.

Great Shorts! Very well constructed
Great Shorts! Very well constructed, Velcro seems strong and stiff. I initially did not know which size to get, some people were saying go up a size, I would say maybe not, maybe go down one size. I am 5'8 148-152 (fluctuates) and I got the USMC shorts for No-Gi Jijitsu in size 30', fit like a charm with just enough room. Shorts feel way better than my tatami BJJ flex shorts (and better made). Semper Fi!

Like them more than I thought I would
Material and construction were better than expected. 6'2"" 200# & wear 36. These fit well. There is no elasticity to the band, but the Velcro segment in front is adjustable. I run, spin, lift, cross-fit train, box in these without issue. They seem built to last. Will likely buy more. Be aware, that there are no pockets on the outside.

Love these shorts
These are my second pair of clinch shorts and I really like them. They fit great and are very comfortable to wear. I usually use these for crossfit and the stretchy light material is nice to have. My only complaint is that this pair does not have a little pocket built into the waist band that my first pair does. This pair only has the funny little mesh key pocket on the inside of the shorts, but it wouldn't stop me from buying again.

Great shorts
I'm 5'-7" 190 and I bought the 36" and they fit really comfortable. They come down to the bottom of my knee which is what I like because I'm not into real short shorts. I read that the dryer can wear out the Velcro so I hang it up with my gi to dry. They look and feel great, and if I had to buy another pair I would.
