Can not use all cables with them to maintain transfer speed. Tried one 2' cable which slowed down treasfer to low megs. Review: Slow speed when close to full storage - Happy with the portability on this ssd. Really compact with 8gb of storage. I was able to store 25 years worth of photos in one ssd. Really compact with 8gb of storage. I was able to store 25 years worth of photos in one ssd. The only problem I have is once the ssd is close to full, the read and write speed gets really slow. ### ⭐⭐ Good portable SSO, just had bad luck. *by J***O on April 5, 2025* The EVO is a great portable card, (My son has one that works great). I just happened to get one that had a problem. I downloaded my pictures to it, but when I plugged it in to show the family our Viking River Cruise to Europe, it was totally blank. Tried it a second time and it just wouldn't hold data. Don't be afraid to try it. I just had bad luck. ## Frequently Bought Together - SAMSUNG 8TB T5 EVO USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable SSD, MU-PH8T0S - SAMSUNG T7 Shield 2TB, Portable SSD, up-to 1050MB/s, USB 3.2 Gen2, Rugged,IP65 Water & Dust Resistant, for Photographers, Content Creators and Gaming, Extenal Solid State Drive (MU-PE2T0S/AM), Black - SAMSUNG T7 Portable SSD, 2TB External Solid State Drive, Speeds Up to 1,050MB/s, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Reliable Storage for Gaming, Students, Professionals, MU-PC2T0T/AM, Gray --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/710558261-samsung-8tb-t5-evo-usb-3-2-gen-1-portable](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/710558261-samsung-8tb-t5-evo-usb-3-2-gen-1-portable) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
