Review: Gets you started... - OK...I am giving this pin pointer 5 stars. Not because it is one of the best and not because it functions better than others, but because it worx. I paid less than $40 for two of them. We took them out...newbies...really didn't know what we were doing and within two weeks we have found dozens of coins, jewelry, relics...you name it. This pin pointer did its job in the hands of detectorists that were VERY un-initiated. I think that says a lot. It is pretty accurate, has pretty good depth sensitivity, good sound and haptics it is easy to switch between functions. It has one adjustment button...not a complicated machine. I had it in the water, covered in mud, it was dropped...thrown...yeah...and it kept on keeping on. It lasts for many trips on one 9v battery. It feels good in hand and is easy to tote in the field. It is a cheap, basic pin pointing metal detector. After about 90 days and dozens of trips I bought a couple different and a little bit higher level machines, and while we both like them better, it is not because they work that much better. We still have these. We used them the other day when our others were left at home and we found coins, jewelry and relics...just like we did before. Will they last years and years...I am going to say no, but if you are dipping your toe into the water of this hobby and just want a peek...well worth it. Cheap, simple effective.

Great pin pointer. My carrying holster broke already, within a week. But the actual device is working fantastic.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must have if you want to search for buried treasure. Don't pass on this one.

This handheld detector is a must have if you are searching for treasures with a metal detector. It's so easy to use and has only one button for on and off. It vibrates to let you know it's on. It also vibrates over an item and increases frequency when you get closer which is awesome. It has a light also which tells you when it's on so you don't leave it on by accident. It feels great in the hand. It can also be used sideways for a larger scanning area and can be used on walls to find nails or screws. It has a side scraper blade but I haven't used that yet. It comes with a belt loop holder which is also great. Plan on getting dirty but it's durable enough to last awhile. The belt holder could be higher quality but it works fine. It take a 9V battery which if you use it often will run out quickly but it's nice that it comes with a starter battery so you can get to it right away. It comes with a strap that could be used to hook it to your belt or make it into a wrist strap if you like. This is the most important tool you could buy if you get into using a metal detector and the quality is great. The instructions are nicely written as well with great pictures. It does say the tip can go into water but nothing else. Helpful if you are in mud.
