With neuropathy in my hands, I drop things, leashes, frequently. I use these with my Service Dog and they work great. I do wish they'd make their small dog leash the same length as their regular length. They make the with more narrow, but the length longer. I think I understand their reasoning: smaller/shorter dog needs more length to reach humans waist. But there is so much length already the 'doubling' of the leash sometimes causes the dog's foot to get entangled in the loop. A 2-3 foot shorter leash would be an excellent addition to their line (i.e. a 6' total length with ability to shorten to 3-4', for those of us who want to keep the dogs closer to us. I purchased both the original Buddy System Adjustable Hands-Free Dog Leash and the Retract-A-Buddy accessory and tested them side by side.Our first walk took us from the woods, through a park, and finally next to a busy street—the system handled every step with ease. The Retract-A-Buddy worked perfectly for the trail and park, while the original leash shone when we were next to the street. I shortened the leash as much as possible which gave me real peace of mind, keeping my dog close and secure, with no risk of darting into traffic if startled.For the full review, check out the video. They responded quickly, directing me to contact them through their website and they would take care of me.I called their cust service number and to my surprise, the person who answered the phone knew exactly who I was! They explained that they changed the buckle to make it stronger and would send me a new leash compatible with the lunge buster!I just received the new leash today and tried out the lunge buster. It’s mostly for when my dog sees rabbits.
