Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact our technical support at 1-800-RAIN BIRD (800-724-6247) and we’d be more than happy to assist. **Q: My irrigation control is in the back of my yard. it is far from my wi-fi router in my house. would this not work then if the wifi signal is too far?** A: It's really dependent on on the signal strength coming from your router. To verify, take your mobile device to the location of your controller and see if the WiFi signal has at least two bars of strength. If you've already purchased the controller, this can also be done in the Rain Bird App by clicking the WiFi Signal Strength icon in your controller settings. Ideally, the controller should have -30 to -60 Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). If needed, boost signal by adding a wireless router or moving controller and router closer together. If you would like additional help in setting up or operating the Rain Bird ARC8 Controller, please feel free to contact our technical support at 1-800-RAIN BIRD (800-724-6247) and we’d be more than happy to assist. **Q: Is this 220 volts?** A: Currently, the Rain Bird ARC8 Controller comes with a 120 VAC transformer and six-foot AC power cord, which is standard in North America. Alternatively, the controller can be wired directly into a power supply by removing the power cord. It has an internal transformer that reduces supply voltage from 120 VAC to 24 VAC. As we introduce international models that support a 230V power supply, we will be sure to let you know. **Q: does the unit retain programming after a power failure since there is no backup battery?** A: Programming is stored in non-volatile memory, so your schedules are stored even in the event of a power outage. If you would like additional help, please feel free to contact our technical support at 1-800-RAIN BIRD (800-724-6247) and we’d be more than happy to assist. ## Frequently Bought Together - Rain Bird ARC8 App-Based Indoor/Outdoor Smart Irrigation WiFi Timer/Controller, 8-Zone/Station, EPA WaterSense Certified, Compatible with Alexa - Rain Bird CP075 In-Line Automatic Sprinkler Valve, 3/4" Threaded x Female, Black - Rain Bird WPCONN10 Waterproof Grease Cap Wire Connectors, 10-Pack, Black/Green --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/715841810-arc8-app-based-indoor-outdoor-smart-irrigation-wifi-timer-controller](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/715841810-arc8-app-based-indoor-outdoor-smart-irrigation-wifi-timer-controller) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
