Review: Spacious, easy to set up, heavy and great company CS. - This is a very comfortable and easy to setup tent. We’re a family of 3 and Florida camping is a little different so we wanted something that had good air circulation and water tight. I love that the floor is removable. It’s really strong Velcro and high enough on the sides that I don’t worry about the seams leaking during a downpour. We’re lucked out on our March trip with fabulous weather. If possible on our next trip I’ll update for rain and heat. We wanted a screen room to protect from the swarm. This gave ample space. We used a full air mattress in the back room. Because of the slope and our mattress has a headboard we had to situate it directly in the center. Clothes bags and toiletries fit well around it. And the back door made it convenient to access without going through the whole tent or leave during the night for a bush wee. There’s plenty of storage, we honestly couldn’t use it all. Now for the cons: With great potential comes great weight. Setup isn’t heavy but the loaded bag is a beast. This is a good quality family/glamping tent. Drive up to the campsite, unload the kids/fur babies and get 2 people to carry this the short distance to the tent site. Don’t plan on hiking this beauty to a site before dark. It’s all of 60lbs. The only other slight con is lack of rings or places to hang lamps from. Now for the customer service. I would have knocked off a least a star for my experience but I returned it because of the fabulous CS! I received my first tent in a timely manner and set up. We had around 18 days to our trip. Our first tent was defective. Whoever assembled it assembled it incorrectly. One panel wouldn’t pop out and lock. Called US based CS immediately and they identified the issue and sent parts/ verbally instructed how to repair. I received the parts and at second assembly discovered the back roof had a similar problem and the first miss assembly was with additional issues. Called again and the rep identified the defective tent and advised that it would be better to replace the whole thing. I agreed and anxiously awaited the replacement. Replacement tent arrived with a few days to our trip with zero problems. They were aware of our trip and made it a great experience even with the situation. I think CS should have their own 5 star rating based on my experiences with them. Easy to communicate, informed and ready to respond and correct. Overall I’d recommend this tent. It takes a minute or two to pop out. Then just place stakes and optional rain cover. Within 10 minutes you can get the rest of camp set up. Lots of screens, great floor and looks to be good in rain. It’s good quality materials. Very happy camper.
Review: BIG BEAUTIFUL BEAR OF A TENT :D - Wow! This tent is huge! I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos before I bought it, and it looks like Gazelle has even improved a few features on the tent since its first edition. I give it a 10/10, with 1 caveat, it is HEAVY. Now that being said, 1 person CAN set this up alone (for reference I'm a 5'6" female). I camp with my young child and I just got tired of fighting the corded pole style tent we had, which was also huge (8' X 15'), partly why I hated putting it up essentially alone (a 5 yr old isn't much help yet) but I didn’t want to compromise on the space we had. The pop up style is definitely easier to get up, but the Gazelle T4 Plus is SOOOO BIG I don't know that is takes any less effort. It seems very durable, and we are going to put it to the test this weekend because we will have a whole bunch of his little friends over to yard camp in it! I was so excited to get it I just couldn't stand not using it immediately :P. It is also supposed to rain so we will see how that works out too. The rain fly is so heavy duty and the tent fabric is so thick I expect it to do just fine. I love how the rain fly has some options and cords easily to the side stakes! I will say though that to lug it from the driveway to the yard and dealing with the massive thick rain fly was a bit of a bear to do. This will be a very easy tent though when my son can help me more, and, especially as he gets older, I'm glad to keep the extra space we have enjoyed in our tent size. A couple design tips for Gazelle on the next edition: Add 2 wheels to the carrying bag (I have a pop-up canopy that has wheels on the bag and I LOVE IT, and I would have paid more for the upgraded Overland Edition if that bag came with wheels) Put a colored reflective tab (maybe bright orange it could even say "FRONT" on it) on the front of the rain fly so it is quicker and easier to find for setup, and just in general to see it at night in the dark with a flashlight as you approach the door. And definitely replace the strings that tye up the side walls with elastic ones with the little plastic knobs you just slip through the loops. Our former tent had those and it was nice to not spend so much time tying things. The last two suggestions I'm going to do on my own to customize it. I might even just get a replacement canopy tent bag with wheels too, so I can slide it into my car and down the path to the tent sites easier. There are at least 12 stakes (really 16-20 for full protection) to stake this thing down properly, that alone takes 10-15 minutes, and rolling up all the windows is another 10 minutes, so while the tent does literally POP up in seconds it still take a decently concentrated effort of 30 minutes set up from bag to move-in. Now that being said, I still LOVE it, and the old tent while much lighter weight and smaller to fit in the SUV, will probably never get used again. Hoping this is our go-to tent for the next 10-15 years (our last one was good for about 5 before those corded poles started cracking). For reference we camp about 4-5 times a year. This is the most money I've ever spent on a tent, so far the quality seems worth every penny!

### ⭐⭐⭐ Great Tent with One Flaw
*by G***N on 1 June 2025*

One-Year Update: Two stars removed for multiple failures. After 20 nights in this tent, including hard rain and high wind, we like it but with some big caveats. The Pros: Good ventilation yet stays dry, even in storms. Excellent removable floor liners. Drum-tight rain fly. Roomy. Vertical walls. Oversize bag. Reasonably quick set up. The Cons: In the bag, it's heavy and too big to fit in a car trunk. Takes male muscle to install the rain fly. Multiple failures, shown in the pictures. Can't handle high wind from the front or rear. We always pitch it on a tarp to prevent chafing, but a ground-side pole pocket still tore out. (Shown in the pics.) Not sure how I'm gonna fix that. For $600, the pole pockets should be lined with hard cups, or at least stout webbing. Much of the hardware is painted steel, which is strong but is already rusting. For $600, it should be stainless or bronze. If a high wind hits from the wrong angle (the front or back) it lifts the rain fly like a parachute, pulling hard and flapping until it tears out a critical grommet. My repair is in the pics. It was a two-hour job. The fly has a tiedown that connects to the tent above the front entrance and might mitigate this problem, but only in the front, and only if you think to use it. In trees, the wind could never blow hard enough to lift the fly, but on the beach it does routinely. The failures are annoying in a $600 tent, but our numerous cheaper large tents have all had worse problems. So overall, I guess we like it.
