I don't know what it is lately, but most products which say they're hot are "Mild" at best. Not Mike's Hot Honey Extra Hot; it's actually "Hot". Yay!! I don't like it when sellers misrepresent products, and Mike's is one of the first products I've gotten which lived up to their billing. Prior to ordering I had typed in a question about what kind of peppers were used. Amazon's AI said it wasn't specified. Well, I can tell you, immediately after tasting some there is the distinct flavor of Habanero peppers. Habanero peppers have a very distinct flavor, so I would say there are definitely Habaneros. This hot honey is actually excellently flavored. We brush it on salmon before grilling with some 'everthing bagel' seasoning; a true 5-star dish which you'll rate a solid "10"! Hot honey goes great with so many things (i.e. fish, chicken, wings, etc.). It's even great on steaks.
