I don't considered is lightweight. It has 95oz fill power. It's heavier than a regular bedspread or comforter. I paired it with the Bedsure duvet which I love. I don't hear the crinkle sound. I normally have 4 comforters on my bed in the winter and 3 the rest of the year. I paired this with a Pure Beech bedspread that's of nice weight. My husband and I were warm and comfortable all night.
