Earlier models of the 2nd Gen Equinox and Acadia had a bezel that holds the switch in the assembly otherwise this switch seems like it's too small... My year, 2016, it is a direct fit. The official switch dry rotted after only 6 years so we'll see how long this will last. Order the bezel part number mentioned in the other review and it will be better than the original. After you snap of the plastic shell from the inside and remove the four 10mm nuts that hold the chrome chevy emblem and backup camera, you simply detach the plug and switch them out.
