It worked well on top of the existing old mattress - had to roll it up for storage after the young lads went home but it was comfortable and they slept well on it - two large brothers in thier 20's . A: Only about an inch.  But that's OK for me as it's going on a bed that we don't use - it's for "company".

**Q: Fit a twin sleeper sofa mattress?**
A: Dear, our twin mattress pad size is  39" x 75".

**Q: Is this safe for a memory foam mattress?**
A: Yes, of course, our waterproof mattress pad is safe for your memory foam mattress.

**Q: 1 or 2 in the package for the split king?**
A: I got only one, for a twin size bed.  From the description and photo here, it appears you will get two pads for a king size bed that is made with two twin mattresses side by side.
