The Avengers start the movie dealing with the evil organisation HYDRA. But then their downtime is spoiled by new threats. Two humans who are out for revenge. And Ultron [voiced by James Spader] an artificial intelligence who wishes to improve the planet by destroying the human race. Only the Avengers can save the day.. It does everything you would expect of it. Big action scenes. Strong character moments. Humour. Another great bring the house down moment that's totally different to the one in the first film, but no less good. New characters. Familiar faces. Continuity. References to delight comic book fans. And yet another set piece final battle with people fighting whilst things explode and things fly around shooting at each other. You will also find out why Black Widow seems to have better chemistry with all the men other than Hawkeye. The film does try to give the latter more attention also. It also sets up things for upcoming Marvel movies. Whilst still a great watch, there's just two minor flaws: Ultron is a very good villain. But never quite manages to be a great one. And it doesn't have the shock of the new and the originality of the first film. Ant-Man does, which is why that is the most enjoyable Marvel movie of the year. Still set in the ultimate universe. After the other marvel movies and the agents of SHIELD. This is the movie where if you blink for a second you probably missed 5 guys getting beaten up. They have actually developed the Avergers well. Cap (point of note this Captain is probably more in keeping with Earth 616 Captain America, but he seems to have the Ultimate version strength and healing) is in his rightful position as leader, Tony/Ironman just "pay for everything and builds everything". There is a relationship between a couple off the members, but all in all the team has gelled better; they have a couple of team manoeuvres in their fights that can only get with practice and trusting your partners. The only member of the team that does not have any powers or enhancements is Hawkeye making him their connection to humanity. I think that they portrayed Ultron perfectly with his “father’s” entire ego and none of this conscience. A very good movie but I would have like a couple individual fights as well because, for me the group battles especially at this fast passed look a bit like a computer game rather than a movie. However it did keep my engaged and entrained all the way through so I enjoyed it.
