Review: 20 years of pain gone with these bandages! - I suffer from stage two Hidradenitis Suppurativa and I must say I am thrilled to have stumbled upon these! I use the 4x4 for my armpits and they actually stay! (Sometimes in the bikini area too ) Not only do they work wonders on getting all that gunk out, but they also make the itching and irritation go away.. the pain too! If you have HS and are looking for relief these are for you! Takes a couple tries to get it to stay in creased/curved areas, but it is worth it 100%!! Be warned they do hurt like hell pealing them off, but I'll take those seconds of pain compared to being uncomfortable all day for sure. They hold so much its amazing. Just make aure you wash up with hibiclens before slapping these bad boys on... they hold smell real good. If you know you know. Good luck my friends. Stay positive. C: Edit: After months of use I found a routine I'd like to share. I have gotten to where the wounds are smaller and some are healing after switching to these bandages. Take a shower, wash wounded area with hibiclens. (Cold/lukewarm water!! Never hot on the HS spots! That makes everything hurt more.) Dry area completely. I cut off what I need making sure to round out the edges so it stays. Idk if this will make sense, but i3 make sure in the curvy areas that I make the area as smooth and flat as poaaible before placing the bandage. When removing (they stay on for two days for me mostly with no leaks c: ) I shower and make sure the water is running on the bandage before peeling slowly from one corner. Sometimes its tricky and I have to lift up another corner for it to go. I never rip them off anymore! Always use running water to take them off slowly and its pain free. I hope this helps anyone who suffers the same as me and just looking for a little bit of relief.
Review: Excellent alternative/ complement to acne dot treatment - This product really draws a lot of gunk out of the pores. I like that it is cuttable, some varieties aren’t. I use it for rosacea breakouts and bouts of cystic acne. Both issues heal much faster using this over dots. It also draws out those little white fluid pimples around the eyes (they have been nearly impossible to get rid of!) One drawback is that this material doesn’t adhere so well around features like the chin or nose. I’m working on a way to cut it that will work. I’m not tossing my acne dots though, they cover a lot in the daytime!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: how long to keep the dressing on before changing it.? Can it be removed for wound clean and put it back on?**
A: Hydrocolloid dressings are designed to be left on for several days, typically between 3-7 (this is only in general; individual manufacturers may recommend a slightly different timeframe). However, this is only advisable if the dressing remains fully intact, less than 70% saturated and the wound is NOT infected. If the dressing is becomes detached for ANY reason (Eg: Falls completely off, starts to peel at the corner, or is intentionally removed), it’s considered “compromised” and must be disposed of. NEVER PUT IT BACK ON.

**Q: How thick are these patches?**
A: Measured "X-Thin" size with a micrometer: ~0.5 mm thick dressing (0.67 mm dressing + liner; 0.17 mm thick liner)

**Q: Is the patch waterproof? Does it stays even after showering**
A: Yes it stayed on without any problems at all.

**Q: Is this latex free?**
A: Search for Med Pride and call the 800 # on their site. There is no mention of latex on that page or the package that I can see. It feels like vinyl, but, I forgot one and it became a permanent part of my sock, so it could be latex. I just know they work and I want a larger size for my leg ulcers.

I suffer from stage two Hidradenitis Suppurativa and I must say I am thrilled to have stumbled upon these! I use the 4x4 for my armpits and they actually stay! (Sometimes in the bikini area too ) Not only do they work wonders on getting all that gunk out, but they also make the itching and irritation go away.. the pain too! If you have HS and are looking for relief these are for you! Takes a couple tries to get it to stay in creased/curved areas, but it is worth it 100%!! Be warned they do hurt like hell pealing them off, but I'll take those seconds of pain compared to being uncomfortable all day for sure. They hold so much its amazing. Just make aure you wash up with hibiclens before slapping these bad boys on... they hold smell real good. If you know you know. Good luck my friends. Stay positive. One drawback is that this material doesn’t adhere so well around features like the chin or nose. I’m working on a way to cut it that will work. I’m not tossing my acne dots though, they cover a lot in the daytime!

1st time using the X-Thin. It curls up b4 applying to skin. Be very careful- although hard when on your side/back area. Feels good once on. But when there's only 5 in a pack and 2 mess up, you're in a pinch for coverage.
