I even tried downloading the Microsoft compatibility toolkit that has gotten other old games to work on my windows 7 machine but it didn't work for this one. I've played it in the past and its a great strategy game where you can actually see individual soldiers, spearmen, pikemen, knights in the battle formation fighting. The diplomacy is a bit simplistic and lacking but I keep coming back to this game when I'm tired of other games. But if you have a newer computer expect to spend some time getting it to play, if it will play at all.
