I found that useless - always check for the latest available on the web anyway. Once configured and connected to Wifi7 AP (TP-link EAP772), i got full gigabit speed (~1,200mbps down) over 6Ghz - quite incredible. Did not push it further = but so far performance did not disappoint in daily usage. Configured/connected using Win11 native controls (thats a plus - no needing vendor-specific config tools). Currently using as a desktop adapter via supplied dock, which is USB3. Tp-link should consider dual connection options (usb-c and usb3). Maintaining connection has not been a problem so far. Adapter has antenna which likely improves reception.
