I don't know if they are old, but I don't think the xx soft should be too difficult to use. I added a video so you can see. I bought these to help with hand therapy. I like the size of the containers but I can't even use them since they are all hard or harder firm or extra firm. They are greasy some more than others as you can see. You have to wash your hands after touching them. I can't even say using them since they are all hard.
