I purchased this food after speaking with an exotic vet, because this is the food that zoos across the country use for hedgehogs in their exhibits. It has a minimum of 28% crude protein and the main ingredient is poultry byproduct. My hedge eats it right up!! **Q: This states 8oz. How long does it take to get through one bag? Doesn’t seem like a lot of food** A: I bought a bag of this in June 2019 and still have half a bag. The pellets are only the size of BBs and I sprinkle about a teaspoon over his dry cat food occasionally. My hedgie is so picky and I find these on the floor of his cage, so I don't know if he's eating them or just pulling them out of the bowl. I just look at them as a treat, not a regular meal. **Q: How long should a small 8 oz package last?** A: It lasts my hedghog about 3 weeks.
