Would it be possible?** A: It has a spot for measuring 64th's on the bottom left on the front side, but it only goes to 48/64, which should certainly be enough for measuring string height. **Q: Does this item come with instructions, and is it made of steel?** A: No instructions. It is essentially just a ruler. But the size, shape and multi-denominations make it especially designed for guitar setups. It is made of high-quality (stainless?) steel with black etchings. **Q: I tend to use 32nds for setting up string heights on my bass. How do you use that area when it's in the middle of the rule?** A: You use the 64ths. two 64ths = one 32nd. Either that or saw a hole through your bass and stick the tool through **Q: where is this item made** A: No idea.
