At first she was rather dubious but after using one quickly became a fan and said it really did help reduce the swelling and pain. Having 2 packs was handy as one could be cooled in the fridge or freezer while the other one was worn, then swapped over when it warmed up. The velcro strap was easy to use and made it easy to adjust the fit, meaning no discomfort when worn on a sore knee. Cooling in the fridge meant it didn't stay cold for as long however it was more flexible which made it slightly more comfortable. They are quite chunky due to the gel contained inside, but this does mean they stay cold for a decent amount of time. They felt like good quality and the lining was soft to touch too. I had a full leg one from the hospital but used this once this had become ineffective. Worked well and is not too cold or uncomfortable with the padding. Also used it on my ankle to reduce swelling, with the long straps it stays in place. A good product.
