I did some research and found that folic acid is linked to depression, which I have been living with for about 20 years in addition to ADHD. Being on ADHD and depression medicines worked for focus and not having the super low lows that can come with these struggles but with a big side effect. I wasn’t happy even when I should be, I could get things done but couldn’t relax, I could think but it was slower and for lack of a better way to explain, I lost my words. Speaking or writing in general was a mess. I would stop in the middle of a sentence to try and decider the word that I wanted to use but couldn’t find it. The meaning of what I was trying to say would be lost in my attempts to find the correct words or phrases and figure out how to pronounce them. Writing was chaos. As my job is writing all day long this was a hinderance to say the least. Sentences would be run on. I would rewrite a simple sentence or two 3-4 times and end up repeating myself or leaving out important information. Overall what would be written was messy and couldn’t flow well in reading.
