I have never dyed my hair before and was very concerned about doing it on my own at home. Shea Moisture was easy to use, even for someone who has never done so before! After reading previous reviews I knew to expect a darker outcome initially, and since I wanted a darker brown this was exactly what I was looking for.Other reviewers said that this left their hair very moisturized, however mine is definitely drier than when I first started. I attribute this to the fact that I have never dyed my hair before, so I am not unhappy. I like that this comes with shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizing oil to use to avoid frizz. I have already recommended this product to friends and family who dye their hair. I have included before and after photos; the darker picture is the after photo. The before picture (lighter) is my original hair that had never been dyed.
