With 21% protein and no medications, it’s specially formulated for chicks aged 0-8 weeks to promote healthy growth, vibrant plumage, and superior egg production. Freshly milled weekly, this organic mash ensures your chicks get the cleanest, most nutritious start possible. ## Description Feed your starters (0-8 weeks of age) the best feed so they become healthy & happy layer chickens. We recommend mash as are so small they have difficult time eating pellet and whole grain - especially on the first few days. When your chickens start laying eggs you'll notice: Larger eggs with deeper yolks + More eggs + Shinier plumage & brighter combs + Higher chicken activity Why is this the best chicken feed for starters (0-8 weeks)? Formulated for Chickens’ Health: We worked with a nutritionist to create a complete feed to maximize chickens’ health. Other feeds maximize chicken growth (for market) or low cost (cheap ingredients). Certificated Organic & Certificated Non-GMO: We work with US certifiers & test constantly to ensure quality standards are met. Other feeds say they're 'natural' which doesn’t mean anything as they use GMO, mass produced grains which cost far less. 100% US Grown on Local Family Farms: We started Mile Four to bring our friends’ & families grains to market directly. Other feeds use cheap overseas grains of dubious ‘organic’ quality or mass produced commercial grains. Whole Grains: Chickens are visual eaters, they’ll go nuts when you feed them. Other feeds are pellet & mash (which we offer) but whole grain is what chickens’ love. Corn-Free: Corn has little nutritional value. Other feeds use corn as it’s a cheap filler. Soy-Free: Soy leads to chickens’ having deficiencies in vitamins including manganese, iron + more. Other feeds use soy as it’s cheap. Superior Ingredients: Mostly organic peas, wheat, alfalfa & barley. Other feeds use corn, soy & other cheap filler ingredients. Non-medicated: Mile Four feed is a clean, healthy feed. Others feeds add medications to combat common chicken diseases such as coccidiosis. Milled Fresh: We mill fresh each week, your girls’ can tell the difference. Other feeds sit on the shelf for months. ## Features - 100% USA GROWN, ORGANIC, NON-GMO GRAINS: 100% of grains are certified Organic, certified Non-GMO, corn-free, soy-free (soy & corn fillers can lead to vitamin & mineral deficiencies), non-medicated, grown on local, U.S.A. family farms & milled fresh - ORGANIC EGGS TASTE & LOOK DIFFERENT: Deep golden yolks, strong eggshells & consistent egg production. High-quality organic chicken feed leads to increased egg quantity as well as larger & tastier organic eggs - HEALTHIER & HAPPIER CHICKENS: Shiney plumage, bright colored combs, strong, confident chickens with high activity level. Quality organic chicken feed formulated with 21% protein, essential vitamins & minerals for optimal health, nutrition & egg production - 3 CHICKEN FEED TYPES: Chickens are picky eaters, choose from 3 feed types; Whole Grain (natural textures, ideal as chickens are visual eaters), Pellet (reduces waste & provides uniformity), Mash (best for & fermenting; may lead to messy eating) - TWO POUND SAMPLE SIZE ORGANIC CHICKEN FEED: Choose from three organic chicken feed types (Whole Grain - Pellet - Mash) as each flock & chicken is unique to ensure their happiness. 2 LBS sample bags are perfect to find the best feed type for your flock ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09HCTMMTF | | Age Range (Description) | Baby | | Age Range Description | Baby | | Brand | Mile Four | | Country of Origin | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 378 Reviews | | Item Type Name | Chicken Feed | | Item Weight | 2 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Mile Four | | Manufacturer Part Number | S21CSF_2_M | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pattern | Letter Print | | Product Care Instructions | Keep in a Dry Place | | Size | 32 g (Pack of 1) | | Style | Mash | | UPC | 703674519846 | | Unit Count | 32.0 Grams | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Mile Four - **Flavour:** Natural - **Age Range (Description):** Baby - **Item Form:** Powder - **Specific Uses For Product:** Behavior, Bone Health, Digestive Health, Heart, Stomach - **Special Ingredients:** organic flax meal, organic kelp - **Net Quantity:** 32.0 gram - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Package Information:** Bag - **Item Weight:** 907 g ## Images ![Mile Four Organic Chicken Feed – Starter Chick Mash, Non-GMO, USA Grown, 21% Protein, Corn-Free, Soy-Free, Non-Medicated Chick Feed, 2 lb Sample - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71QC6DwY76L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Mile Four Organic Chicken Feed – Starter Chick Mash, Non-GMO, USA Grown, 21% Protein, Corn-Free, Soy-Free, Non-Medicated Chick Feed, 2 lb Sample - Mile Four Chick Grit for Baby Chicks - Chickens Age 0-8 Weeks, 100% Natural Mineral Chick Grit Quartzite, Poultry Grit Digestive Aid, USA Mined, 4 lbs - Manna Pro Fresh Flakes | Chicken Coop Bedding | Pine Shavings for Chicken Bedding | 4 Cubic Feet --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/727669175-mile-four-organic-chicken-feed-starter-chick-mash-non-gmo](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/727669175-mile-four-organic-chicken-feed-starter-chick-mash-non-gmo) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
