Stronger melatonin will give me a totally awful sleep and headaches, but not at 300-700 mcg and I think the timed release helps. There's much more to the story - never more than once a week 5 mg Ambien, occasionally a cup of coffee on down days (helps with depression, I'm decaf normally, again the headaches)... It's working for me.

I've been taking these, earlier the 300 mcg, to help keep me at a deeper sleep. Long term problem, physician involved, etc. I've found this brand to be the best.
