Review: Just pop it over the CPU and it stops the thermal paste getting down into the crevices. When it came to it I was quite relieved that I'd bought it (it did make me think that the shape of the new AMD chip was a pretty silly design choice). I think they should come as standard, and not as an afterthought. Reportedly adequately heat resistant.

The simple die cut plastic to protect your cpu is effective. The included wipes to clean your cpu and cooler are helpful. I have no idea how they computed the price but it is worth the $10 bucks.
