You will need to roast it before it will taste like coffee. I didn't realize this. I roasted it at 325 for 13 minutes mixing up every few minutes. Let cool then grinded it with my coffee bean grinder. Makes a quart size jar. Only takes a tablespoon of powder to make a quart size delicious drink. I still filtered mine with a nut bag and it tasted so good. So if you buy this and you're seeking that coffee replacement you will need to roast this. I gagged the first time I drank it. I thought it was spoiled or something. Thankfully it dawned on me there's a difference in taste when not roasted. Now that I roasted it is absolutely delicious and it makes a lot more than what you get in tea bags for much less the cost. Highly recommend(after roasting).
