Sometimes I miss the calls and would like to play back a call.** A: There are two forms of recording. One will record any transmissions, and one will replay the latest transmission. They cannot both be on at the same time. So the first one is useful if you cannot attend the scanner but want to listen later to what was recorded during the day (hour, month, however long you leave it running). The files are stored on the microSD card and can be loaded to your PC later. You enable this by pressing FUNC > Replay/Record > Yes and this initiates recording. Then press that again at the end of the session and it will ask if you want to store the files, press E/YES and the files are written to the microSD card. **Q: Will the scanner pic up 14218** A: If that is 14218 kilohertz, the answer is no. If the frequency is 142.180 megahertz the answer is yes. **Q: Does this come with the telescoping antenna?** A: Yes, a telescoping antenna comes included. **Q: I hear whistlers all have issues with simulcast and so does uniden exept for this one. So did this one finally Stop the simulcast issue?** A: yes for a quick answer I will NEVER own another whistler they are real junk compared to the Unidens. The only good thing about the whistler is a brighter crisper screen, but I'd rather have receiver performance. The whistlers are slow to scan very sluggish and not a very good receiver compared to the Unidens.
