Review: Nearly perfect! - As per Foscam usual: Reset... Then connection to the network at the first attempt. Everything works as promised. The only gripe I've got this time is, that the USB power supply doesn't have a UK plug and that the cable is nowhere nearly as long as the one from the same camera I ordered in Germany a few weeks back. The price is about the same, though. So why the short cable?

**Q: How to set up Foscam cameras working with Amazon's Alexa?**
A: Dear Sind, thanks for your inquiry.
1. Please make sure the Alexa app is installed on your cellphone.
2. Please open the Foscam app and go to Account-->Alexa.
3. Please choose the Alexa and tap on Link.
4. Then the Alexa app all will be opened automatically and please tap on LINK.
5. Then you can choose the option “DISCOVER DEVICES” to add Foscam camera to the Alexa app or speak “Alexa, discover devices” to the Echo show directly.
6. After camera is added to the Alexa app, you can speak directly to the Echo show to get the camera’s live stream shown up by voice command.

**Q: So if this doesn’t work with 5G how do i know if i have 2.4g ??**
A: Dear customer,The most reliable way to determine the band of wifi is to log into your router and check it in the settings. Or using an Android phone computer, connect it to this wifi and check the wifi band in the network properties.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very simple set up, easy integration w/ Blue Iris and Home Assistant

This camera had a quick easy set up through the app. Quick to locate in Blue Iris as well so integration was simple. Motion detection is great and took a little tweaking down, but very few false positives (I live on a cul-de-sac) to deal with. I did have a problem about a month in with reconnecting after an upgrade from one Mesh network to another. Mia with Customer Service was fantastic! Walked through everything step by step along with pictures! Back up and running in no time at all. Even checked back afterwards. I wish all customer service took the extra 5 seconds for a follow up! Picture quality is good to very good, particularly at night when I have lights on in the house and garage as I've been placing the camera in multiple locations for the moment. Night vision is the same with a quality contrast to easy notice detail. PTZ is very responsive though the app and BI as long as you use the pull gestures on the picture itself and not the direction arrows in BI which tend to be slow (prob a feature of BI, possibly network latency?). I have zero complaints with the camera as it's exceed every expectation for the money and the customer service is as responsive and personable as I could ask for. I keep going back to Foscam for this reason. Some companies give you a reason to not leave, but few give you a reason to stay and people like Mia make the difference for where I spend my money.
