Not sure if they will work on gemstones. **Q: I want to drill a hole on each side of a 1 inch flat marble for a bracelet. what bit di i look for. i saw a video . need a round or conical tip. help** A: I had best luck making a clamping jig that set in a beaker of water and used a Dremel drill press. The drill is about 1/2 inch long and I had to drill from both ends because a bead was larger than 1/2 inch. I used the pointed cone to get an accurate start and then reamed out with a 1mm drill to complete the hole. Getting the two tunnels to meet in the center is tricky when the drill is too short. Work slow under water. Don J. **Q: Will these work with a Ryobi quick release drill?** A: These are really a terrible quality...
