Its thinner, easy-lick formula and long shelf life make it a top choice for discerning reptile keepers. ## Description Product Description Pangea Gecko Diet with Fig & Insects™ Our newest gecko diet formula with the delicious taste of fig and is loaded with insects. This banana-free formula has a strong fig smell and flavor to entice your picky geckos to really chow down. The absence of bananas is perfect for geckos that do not seem to like banana flavor foods. Highlights: Fortified with high-quality proteins, vitamins, and minerals Complete crested gecko diet Excellent for all fruit-eating species Banana free diet Three species of insects in the diet Geckos love the taste Great for picky eaters By using other fruits as the base, we were able to incorporate fig into the diet while avoiding oxalic acid. We have incorporated crickets and black soldier fly larvae as the main source of protein as well as grown mealworms to increase the omega fatty acid content. This formula contains more than double the amount of insects as our original Pangea Gecko Diet with Insects™ formula. Pangea Gecko Diet with Fig & Insects™ blends a bit thinner than other formulas due to the absence of the thick consistency from banana powder, but geckos seem to like this thinner mix. It can be more difficult to see lick marks in the food bowls, so we recommend offering smaller amounts of food to begin with to see the food disappear. Directions: Mix 1 part powder with 2 parts water and adjust to achieve desired consistency. Prepared mix is good for up to 7 days if refrigerated. Open dry mix is good for 6 months at room temperature or 1 year if refrigerated. Unopened products are best before 24 months (see expiration date). Occasional insect feedings are recommended but are optional. Most Juveniles should receive about 1/16th of an ounce or a dime size portion. Subadults should receive 1/8th of an ounce or a nickel sized portion. An adult should receive a quarter to about a half ounce portion. **Q: Why shouldn't I freeze the diet to help it last longer?** A: The ice crystals that form during the freezing process can potentially damage the cell walls of the plant ingredient contents and reduce the overall nutritional value of the diet. **Q: Why does the unrefrigerated prepared feed expire after a day?** A: The prepared feed can be compared to a fruit smoothie. A fruit smoothie sitting in a humid tropical environment like a gecko terrarium will not last as long as it would while refrigerated. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My Leachie loves it! *by on Reviewed in the United States 6 September 2026* I use the Pangea Gecko Diet Insects & Figs for my Leachianus gecko, and he absolutely loves it! He always seems excited when it’s feeding time and eats it really well. He’s growing nicely and doing great, so I’m very happy with this food.I also love that it’s so easy to prepare and serve. Definitely a favorite in our gecko’s diet, and I’ll continue buying it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Favorite *by on Reviewed in the United States 27 September 2026* My Leachianus gecko likes this flavor the best! I have been using the Pangea Gecko diet for years. I have tried other brands and she does get other flavors. She prefers this one and so do some of my Crested Geckos. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for picky geckos *by on Reviewed in the United States 12 June 2026* Had a picky crested gecko and he ate this stuff up! Recommended by the gecko community for the least picky food! If you're on the fence about it, just try it! He wouldn't eat much else before. I tried repashy but it's a good price and it'll last a good part of a year ## Frequently Bought Together - Pangea Fruit Mix Fig & Insects Crested Gecko Complete Diet 8 oz (1/2 lbs) - Pangea Fruit Mix Apricot Complete Crested Gecko Food 1/2 lb - Pangea Fruit Mix with Insects Crested Gecko Complete Diet 2 oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/735531389-pangea-fruit-mix-fig-and-insects-crested-gecko-complete-diet](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/735531389-pangea-fruit-mix-fig-and-insects-crested-gecko-complete-diet) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
