These definitely do not look cheaply made. This particular statue does come with the sword unattached but it slips neatly into the knight's gripping hand. I bought two different statues in this set to compliment each other and I must say they look great. This knight is probably my favorite of the two I bought. Perhaps I'll purchase more later on because I would definitely like to add to this collection. A very cool conversation piece! Overall very pleased with this purchase.
