The tint in color is due to the addition of Fulvic which is an organic compound that bonds to the mineral to help improve absorption. Then, when I was training really hard for a triathlon and doing two-a-days, I suddenly started having lots of cramps and spasms, to the point where I was tearing up out of frustration in the gym because trying to stretch one muscle was causing the antagonist muscle to cramp up so I'd try to stretch that one and the otehr one would start to cramp. I felt stuck and in pain.While I am fairly well versed in what the body needs, I was not aware until that moment that I was lacking in these vital minerals due to my sudden and drastic increase in workouts. I did some more research because I was sure I already had enough potassium (bananas were already a staple and a former go-to for muscle cramps when I was a swimmer in high school), and decided to buy this product.It made a world of difference almost immediately. I used to get numbness in my arms and fingers, which is a symptom of low calcium levels as well. That stopped when I started taking this product. If I slack off it comes back so I know I need it.For the taste, I put 1 capful in my 22oz. water bottle and add the Ultima grape flavored electrolyte powder. It is easier on my stomach than the other magnesium I was taking. The taste really is not good. I started mixing it with 4 oz of kefir and it worked good to mask the taste. However, I think the kefir gives extra energy and I was taking it and the Ionic C & M at bedtime and waking up around 3 AM not able to go back to sleep. So, I've decided to just take the C&M with 2 oz of water and chase it with more water. That is working. However, I saw on the bottle that it was a good way to jump start the day so I'm wondering if I shouldn't take it at bedtime. If any one has any experience with that please let me know.
