Review: Most definitely alive and active - Needed these to kill the slug mites and fungus gnats in a snail tank. Placed them in, and a few hours later we could see a swarm of them crawling on a clear plastic surface in the tank. We were told that they shy away from light so waited until dark, then shined a bright flashlight and could see them. They were very tiny and active.
Review: Very disappointed - I don't think any of these mites were alive when I received them. I didn't see any movement and I just assumed that they were too small to see with the human eye. After applying them to my snakes enclosures, I have seen no improvement. It has been over 2 weeks. I have seen several reptile keepers recommend this particular product, so I'm assuming my mites were DOA. I'm super disappointed. I've tried everything. Edit: and if there's a question of whether this product is effective for reptile mites, I also used it in several bioactive enclosures that have fungus gnats and the gnats are still thriving and not at all diminished.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Send a Soldier of Miles Mites to Battle and Kill Those Nasty Fungus Gnats Invaders!
*by C***N on March 30, 2020*

If you have a ton of indoor plants, sooner or later the dastardly fungus gnats will exponentially multiple inside your home. I do not even overwater my plants. But FG are opportunistic pests and will smell out any moist soil so they can lay their eggs, in the hundreds, and 10 days later, with just a handful of negligible FG, seems like overnight you start finding them committing suicide in your morning coffee or bowl of cereal. Gross. They are attracted to water or moisture. They are not very smart creatures but very prolific. And I have tried everything. (Yes, even mosquito bits, peroxide drenches, etc.) It was only after introducing Hypoaspis Miles predatory mites (they go by another updated scientific name, but I know and call them as cute soldier Miles mites) only with the intriduction of Miles, that I witness a drastic reduction of FG inside my home. Disclaimer: It is not an overnight miracle but takes about a week or two. I mean these predatory mites makes an excellent passive deterrent to FG infestation. That is because Miles lives in the soil and eats the larvae of the FG (the reason why just killing the adult winged gnats alone are ineffective in curbing their numbers). This is expensive, I agree, but in the long run, not having to stress about anticipation of an increased in FG numbers just because I watered one or two plants--it is worth the purchase. The company NaturesGoodGuys are also very professional and dependable. I have purchased other predatory mites from them (Californicus, Cucumuris, etc) and they have been delivered promptly and packaged well. If you have problems with numbers of mites during arrival, they were happy to send a replacement. I have bought beneficial insects frim them here on amazon and on their company website with good results.
