I use it on coated surfaces all the time. Boats, Cars, RVS. Its highly concentrated too. Call Mequires or Duratain if you want to be absolutely sure. I was surprised to see the Duratain suggest dish soap like dawn to wash on the surface. That is far more harsh that M5401!
