## Description

Product description

Review: This pot is beautiful. I followed the instruction that came with it ... - This pot is beautiful. I followed the instruction that came with it and used plantain and milk to season it. I enjoy the beauty of the black finish and the functional, gentle roundness. I have used it in the stove and on the stovetop to cook beans. It cleans up easily even without using soap.
Review: Cracked - Read everything, followed directions meticulously. Pot cracked at handles and down the side as on an open flame medium low, cooking rice. The rice came out great but the pot is cracked. Even bought the plantain to season the pot with. Made the request to return the pot and the seller closed the request. 100 bucks is pretty pricey for a cracked but that I can't return. Not happy.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can you use on camp fire?**
A: Dear Julie,The pieces can be used in the oven, in the microwave, a stovetop or fire.Thank youMagda

**Q: Is the pot made of micaceous clay?**
A: I have to disagree with the previous comment in the micaceous clays and not just found in New Mexico, they actually exist in many parts of the world. The La Chamba pot are made of micaceous clays, albeit the mica particles are not as evident as in other clays, especially becuase of the process of coating the outside with a wattery red clay, hand burnished with semi-precious agate stones, then fired and smoked to give it the black shiny color. Also, the particular item your are asking about is made in Colombia, and not Mexico as the previous answer sugests.

**Q: What is the depth of this pan without the lid?**
A: I bought this pot thinking it would not be as deep as the soup pot...but honestly I couldn't tell the difference. I can't tell you the depth of it but might be able to help you make a decision on which pot to buy. The stew pot ended up having a defect and when I returned it I ended up getting the 6 quart flat casserole and I LOVE it! I find the flat casserole was just what I was looking for. I did not need a deep soup pot as I have many dutch ovens but I was looking for something to braise in. Honestly...I use this pot for so many things and find it far more versatile than the stew pot. I can't wait to add more of these pots to my cooking arsenal! I absolutely love cooking in clay. It's a breeze to clean too.

**Q: The top to mine just broke. Is it possible to get a replacement lid?**
A: Hello Charles,
Yes, Can you please let us know your order number.
Thanks
Magda T

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful pot

A good looking large pot. Following the instructions it works well. The lid was a bit small - the company immediately sent me a replacement. (As the pots are hand made, the lids are very individual and it seems that two of them got swopped). The replacement was perfect.
