I must have used more on my face etc, so just make sure to use the same application “thickness” everywhere. I can’t speak to how long it lasts because I am only on day 3 after the initial application but so far I am extremely pleased with this lotion. It blends well and if you are paying attention when you apply, it won’t be splotchy at all assuming you get the right level for your skin tone. I have light skin and got a 2. If you want your hands to blend into your arm then you take a towel when you are all done and gently rub Is some of the product off To softly blend the transition. It works like a charm every time. And it's best to do it at night so you can sleep while it processes and wake up with a nice tan! It does not have a funky smell. I like chocolate or the sweet orange scent.
