I’ve had three nets on my windows for six years, and three others for around five years. There are all still operational. Bertie the Ragdoll often hangs onto them with both front paws to change position on the windowsill, with just a few snags from six years of use. He has recently ripped a section of one, but this was by accident as he slipped when jumping onto the sill and caught a paw / claw in the net. It was his 18lb weight falling, and sharp front claws, that did the damage though. I was in the room when this happened so know what tore the net. In the past, when lighter, he used to dangle from them with no harm. The net is pretty tough and the Velcro fixing is very firm, even for him. The reviews all seemed pretty good, so I decided to give them a go. The communication with the seller right from the very start was excellent, especially regarding custom measured requirements. Rachel was polite, helpful and patient when I messed up the order! She could easily have let my order stand and charge me extra, but she was more interested in making sure I paid the right amount. I can't sing her praises enough for her standard of customer care.I suffer with severe neck and shoulder pain, so I was a little dubious about putting the screens up myself. Weeks passed, with my husband too busy to fit them, so I took the plunge and did them myself. I was really concerned that the effort would exacerbate my pains, however, it was so quick and simple to do, I had no ill effects.The grey ones go perfectly with our blinds in the lounge and bedroom, while the white ones look great in our kitchen. They don't block your view of the outside, while allowing the fresh air to flow through the house, and at the same time, keep the cats in and the insects out. I have nasty allergic reactions to mosquito bites, so these will be a blessing!While my cats are intrigued that the windows are open, they see the screen and don't even bother to attempt to get out.An extra coil of velcro fixing was included in the order at no extra cost, and I can see from the sturdy construction that these screens will last for a few years.
