Review: I reviewed this one time but it never showed up on desertcart. This is a very good product. I'm using it on a hard vinyl composition tile floor. It is plenty big enough for a rolling office chair, lays perfectly flat and is hardly noticeable. The people who complained about not being able to get it to lay flat obviously can't or won't follow directions and as far as it being hard to roll out, I'm 75 years old with physical limitations and had no problem on my own. I have the smooth side against the floor. I use the mat in our home office where there is wood flooring. The mat stays in place even with us using a rolling chair. **Q: My desk has flooring underneath then a foot out carpet, I cannot slide my chair from the floor part to the carpet, Can I use this mat for transition?** A: Probably not. The one I got is made for wood or tile floors, there are no spikes on the bottom, so it would probably slide all over the place for you. You might be able to use the one for carpet, with the spikes on the bottom. That way it would hold on your carpet. But if your flooring is wood, those spikes might damage it. **Q: Would this mat work on concrete? It came shipped rolled up and I worried about ripples on it and trouble getting it to flatten out. Luckily, my fears were (mostly) unfounded. The mat flattened pretty nicely when I placed heavy books all over it. In fact, it was usable within two hours of doing so. It did come with a pretty intense smell when first removed from box, but again that has all but gone away and do not even notice. Fast forward and I am pretty pleased with this mat. I use it on a hardwood floor and it is near invisible. My chair rolls smoothly over it with no resistance. So what warrants 4 instead of 5 stars? Unfortunately, it never has completely smoothed out without slight ripples due to it being rolled. Again, on my wood floor, you cannot even see them unless you look close, but I am sure on other surfaces like carpet, this would stand out greater. Despite the fact that I gave it 4 stars out of 5, I would definitely recommend this mat.
