- You will get one (1) Vitis - 'Higgins'- Muscadine Grape starter plant ( These 5"+ plants come in 2.5" x 2.5" x 3.5" deep pots).
- Self-fertile, Higgins will do best in full sun with soil ph of 5.8 - 6.2, soil conditions moist, but well drained. Hardiness zones 7-10.
- 'Higgins' is a muscadine grape cultivar female plant. A heavy producer of large cream to bronze colored berries, Higgins can grow to 30' if left unprunned. A product of the University of Georgia breeding program, Higgins fruit is delicious eaten fresh. Fruit is 17% sugar and ripens early to mid September. Sometimes called Scuppernongs or fox grapes. These spicy-sweet, thick-skinned grapes are an old Southern favorite and can still be found growing wild throughout the lower South.

I ordered a starter plant. I recieved dead clippings that couldnt be revived. Not remotely what I expected for the price.

It came as a fully formed mini and GREEN grapevine in a plastic pot. Slow to grow so far but the weather has been mercurial lately, lots of potential though.
