The rod has quick release fittings that snap onto the balls of the studs. **Q: I need to know if this will hold up to salt water, this is a must for me, I only use in the ocean. If there is another recommended let me know** A: This is not stainless steel, expect 1-2 years in saltwater to be safe. No more sitting in the stern! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product for half the price of panther *by M***A on November 17, 2024* Install was super easy and works great. I can even tilt either motor with zero issues. My only knock is I wish the ball end screws were longer. I had a spot on the main motor that it did fit but only about 3/4 of the nut went on so I used some loctite to make sure it wouldn't come off. Kicker motor already has a factory hole but when I popped it in only like 1 or 2 threads sticking out so wouldn't work.
